Macau | Anti-flu vaccination campaign in Macau reaching over 30 thousand citizens after first month

Macau News Agency (MNA) – The Macau SAR (MSAR) Health Bureau ordered 120,000 doses of quadrivalent flu vaccine to fill local needs. The vaccination campaign, which started on September 25, already reached 30,715 citizens by October 31, the department said.

From October to December the campaign will include health professionals attending sensitive locations to administer the vaccines.

Schools and venues where mass vaccination can be deployed are the main focus. Students and children who couldn’t get the vaccine through this system will be able to get it in the local Hospital Conde de São Januário from December 1.

The vaccination plan targets population between 6 months and 18 years old, over 50, pregnant women, affected by chronic diseases, obese, officials working in the health sector and in nurseries, kindergartens, primary and secondary schools. Local residents working in casinos are also targeted by the campaign.
