Merchandise trade across the Macau-mainland border in April was worth US$370 million (about MOP2.96 billion), 33.5 per cent more than a year earlier, the Ministry of Commerce says. The ministry’s figures show the value of the mainland’s exports to Macau grew by 39.5 per cent to US$360 million. The value of Macau’s exports to the mainland shrank by 43.7 per cent to US$10 million. The mainland authorities approved in April 34 investments in the mainland by Macau enterprises. The investments are together worth US$150 million, 87 per cent more than the value of such investments approved a year earlier.
