Bauhaus renews Superdry franchise agreements

Hong Kong clothing retailer Bauhaus International (Holdings) Ltd announced yesterday that it has renewed its franchise agreements with the company’s licensed brand Superdry until the end of April 2021. According to the agreements, Bauhaus will get the exclusive licence to sell goods using the Superdry trademark in Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. In addition, the retailer will have the non-exclusive rights to sell licensee goods and non-exclusive goods in franchise stores. The current agreements between the retailer and Superdry will expire at the end of next year, while the new agreements will come into effect in 2016. With the sales performance of Superdry products in stores operated by the retailer and its subsidiaries going well over recent years, the parties decided to renew their agreements, according to the announcement. In addition to Superdry, Bauhaus retails other in-house fashion brands such as Tough and Salad. K.L.
