Best Buy Tokyo eyes Macau

Japanese second-hand goods seller Best Buy Tokyo plans to open eight shops in Hong Kong, Macau and the mainland by 2014. Company director Kagayaki Goda is quoted in today’s South China Morning Post as saying Best Buy Tokyo plans to list on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange within four years. Best Buy opened its first shop in Hong Kong earlier this month, selling a range of items from used electrical appliances and clothing, to shoes and jewellery. It has a vast market in Japan, with over 100 outlets.
