BEYOND Expo postponed again due to pandemic progression

The organisers of BEYOND Expo announce today (Thursday) the event’s inaugural event will be further postponed until further notice.

The inaugural edition of the event was initially scheduled to take place at The Venetian between August 26 and 28, after being also postponed from its original June date.

However the organisation indicated that ‘due to the current state of the Covid-19 pandemic in various cities in China, many Chinese regional governments urged their residents to avoid all unnecessary travel’ and prompting the delay.

Macau itself is currently under city-wide mass testing after four cases were reported in a local family this week.

‘We apologize for the inconvenience caused by this postponement. Meanwhile, we will continue our preparations for this event, and hope that the extra time will allow more companies to join us,’ the event organisers noted.

‘The ticketing and expo channels will remain open as we continue to announce guest speakers, events, exhibitors, and forums. We will announce new dates as soon as possible’.

BEYOND is owned and produced by the Macao Technology General Association, and co-organized by the Trade Development Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce and the China Centre For International Science And Technology Exchange.

The event’s co-founders recently stated in an interview that they hope the event can become a local annual fixture and become “one of the biggest and the most impactful events in promoting cross-industry and cross-border cooperation in Asia”.
