BREAKING NEWS – Gaming revenues fall by 97pct y-o-y in June

Gross gaming revenues have taken a 97 per cent year-on-year plunge in June to about MOP716 million (US$89.6 million), marking the third consecutive month with a fall over 90 per cent and the worst monthly turnover so far.

Meanwhile, cumulative gaming revenues for the first half of this year decreased by 77.4 per cent year-on-year to some MOP33.7 billion.

The number of visitors went down by 76.6 per cent year-on-year to about 3.2 million in the first five months of 2020, with the average occupancy rate of guest rooms in the city at only 10 per cent.
