British stocks down 0.31 pct Friday

British stocks decreased on Friday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index down by 0.31 percent, or 20.36 points, to close at 6,630.52 points.

BT Group, a British multinational telecommunications holding company, soared 4.93 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. Standard Chartered and Sainsbury increased by 4.61 percent and 3.05 percent, respectively.

London stock exchange group, a London-based stock exchange and financial information company, with its shares losing 14.38 percent. Scottish Mortgage Investment Trust, a publicly traded investment trust, dropped 6.53 percent. International Consolidated Airlines Group, an Anglo-Spanish multinational airline holding company, fell 5.69 percent.
