Casino employees mandatory health mask use order extended by six months

Casino workers will be mandated to use health masks for another six months, a Health Bureau order published in Official Gazette indicates.

The measure further extends a Chief Executive order imposed in January 22 as part of Covid-19 prevention efforts until March 22, 2021.

Entry restrictions between Macau and Mainland China have been gradually eased, with the issuing of individual visas for residents in all Mainland China provinces reinstated today (Wednesday).

With the October Golden Week holiday period fast approaching, visitor arrivals in the city are expected to register an uptick, with the SAR having not reported new Covid-19 cases for more than 80 consecutive days.

Currently, anyone wanting to enter local casinos is required to provide a nucleic acid test certificate proving freedom from Covid-19 infection, in addition to the existing requirements of undergoing a body-temperature check, and presenting a ‘green’ Health Code result.
