Casino planned for new boutique hotel on Taipa

A hotel under construction next to the Macau Jockey Club could have a casino, according to the company that will manage the hotel. The 373-room, HK$2 billion (US$256.4 million) Hollywood Roosevelt Macau hotel will have 5,000 square metres of its 28,000 square metres of floor space reserved for gaming. Hotel manager GCP Hospitality Management Ltd says a casino will be considered later, our sister publication Business Daily reports. The Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau has received no application to run a casino there. Macau’s Yoho Group Ltd is building the hotel on a 23,226 square metre block of land.
