Casinos will have “independent treatment” regarding smoking ban

The casinos will have an “independent treatment” regarding the anti-smoking law, the president of the Legislative Assembly second standing committee Chan Chak Mo said yesterday. The lawmakers and the Macau government are now discussing the creation of specific smoking areas in gaming venues or setting up a grace period for the implementation of a smoking ban in casinos, but the details are yet to be decided. The new proposal will only be presented after the Legislative Assembly’s two-month summer break
