CE-elect Ho Iat Seng to replace three Gov’t Secretaries

Chief Executive-elect Ho Iat Seng will replace three of the current government Secretaries and keep the Security and Public Works Secretaries, Chinese language news platform All About Macau reported today.

Commissioner of Audit Ho Veng On is set to replace Lionel Leong as Secretary for Economy and Finance, with Commission Against Corruption (CCAC) Commissioner André Cheong to replace Sonia Chan as Secretary for Administration and Justice.

Meanwhile, the current Identification Services Bureau Director, Au Ieong U, is to become the new Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture.

However, Secretary for Transport and Public Works Raimundo Arrais do Rosário and Secretary for Security, Wong Sio Chak, will remain in the future Ho administration.

TDM Radio Macau also reported that the current deputy chairman of the Institute for Municipal Affairs, Lei Wai Nong, will replace Ho Veng On as Commissioner of Audit while Hoi Lai-fong is to become the new CCAC Commissioner.

The current Public Prosector-General, Ip Song San, is alsp to become the new president of the Court of Final Appeal, replacing Sam Hou Fai, with Deputy Prosecutor Chan Tsz King replacing Ip.

The full cabinet list is to be officially revealed in the next days with Ho Iat Seng to be sworn-in as CE on December 20.
