Chief Executive Ho Iat Seng, will lead a delegation between January 8 and 11 to the eight cities in Guangdong Province included in the Greater Bay Area, to discuss joint development and pandemic prevention policies.
The CE will meet with local leaders and visit local industrial projects in Zhongshan, Jiangmen, Zhaoqing, Foshan, Guangzhou, Dongguan, Huizhou, and Shenzhen to discuss how to make the best use of the respective advantages of each city to move forward with the Outline Development Plan for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
The Secretary for Economy and Finance the Director of the Macao Government Tourism Office, the Director of the Macao Economic Bureau and the President of the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute will also be part of the delegation.
In July and September of last year, Ho had already held meetings in Macau with leaders from Zhuhai, to discuss how to advance the development of the Guangdong-Macao Intensive Cooperation Zone in Hengqin.
It will be Ho’s first official tour in 2021 after a first mandate year marked by the Covid-19 pandemic.
