Chinese mainland reports 49 newly confirmed COVID-19 cases

Chinese health authority said Sunday that it received reports of 49 newly confirmed COVID-19 cases on the Chinese mainland, of whom, 33 were domestically transmitted. Of the domestically transmitted cases, 30 were reported in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and three others were in Liaoning Province, the National Health Commission said in its daily report. No deaths related to the disease, the commission said.

Out of the total, 16 were imported COVID-19 cases. In breakdown, Sichuan Province reported four imported cases, provinces of Shandong and Hubei each reported three, Guangdong and Shaanxi two, respectively, and Shanghai Municipality and Fujian Province each reported one, the commission said.
