The New Coronavirus Contingency Coordination Center announced on Saturday that a new imported case of pneumonia caused by the new type of coronavirus has been registered in Macau, becoming the 35th confirmed case.
The male patient, 19 years old, resident of Macau, took Virgin Atlantic Airways flight (flight No. VS206, seat No. 21G) departing from London (United Kingdom), and destined for Hong Airport Kong arriving yesterday, on 27. He came to Macau by the exclusive transport of the Tourism Crisis Management Office via the border post of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge. Due to the presentation of symptoms – fever – he was then referred to the Special Emergency Room at the Centro Hospitalar Conde de São Januário for a nasopharyngeal swab.
On Saturday morning, the results were positive and confirmed as pneumonia caused by the new type of coronavirus (COVID-19).
The patient is in a clinical condition considered normal and was in isolation at the Centro Hospitalar Conde de São Januário.
