Course for judges and MP officials launched

The Legal and Judicial Training Centre is initiating a one-year licensing course for officials entering Macau’s legal and judicial system. Divided into two parts, the course comprises a practice/theory section lasting six months – to familiarise applicants with the basic necessities and functions of bailiffs and officials of the Public Prosecutor’s Office and a second six-month course with practical training to familiarise trainees with the service and function of the secretariats of the courts. Courses comprise 15 modules, with special focuses on judicial organisation of the SAR, civil law, penal law, administrative law, labour law, civil procedure, and Portuguese and Chinese lessons, among others. Currently, the training centre offers professional training courses for judges for judicial courts and the Public Prosecutor’s Office, for public and private notaries, public justice workers, registry and notary officials and more.
