Court claim signed by Stanley Ho

The court claim yesterday filed by alleged Stanley Ho Hung Sun’s lawyer Gordon Oldham bears the casino mogul´s signature. According to several media reports, the “endorsement of claim” attached to the lawsuit bears Mr Ho’s signature. The court claim was filed yesterday by lawyer Mr Oldham, who said he was acting on Mr Ho’s behalf against his children, other relatives and companies for issuing new shares in Lanceford without his consent. In a TV interview on Wednesday, Mr Ho assured that he would not sue and that he wanted to resolve the matter privately with his family. A copy of the court claim filed at Hong Kong’s High Court stated that Mr Ho was suing his third wife, his second wife and her five children and his long-serving lieutenant and banker Patrick Huen. This is the latest episode in the case of Mr Ho’s transfer of his 32 percent stake in STDM to family-run firms Action Winner Holdings Ltd and Ranillo Investments Ltd. Action Winner Holdings Ltd is 100 percent owned by Mr Ho’s third wife, Ina Chan Un-chan, while Ranillo Investments Ltd. is owned by Mr Ho’s five children to his second wife, Lucina Laam: Pansy, Daisy, Maisy, Josie and Lawrence. “Regarding his statement on television, this was not his sentiment. He wants to continue. He is trying to get his wealth back,” Mr Oldham said. “He had been pressured into making that statement.” Mr Ho was STDM’s largest shareholder. STDM is the parent company of Macau-based gaming operator Sociedade de Jogos de Macau.
