Macau welcomes over 140,000 tourists’ visits over National Day holidays

Over 25,000 visitor arrivals were recorded yesterday (Wednesday), marking the third consecutive day that daily visitations have stood at over 25,000, the Public Security Police Force (CPSP) announced. The number has pushed the total of inbound visits to upwards of 142,000 since the Golden Day holiday began last Saturday.

More than 56,000 tourists entered and exited the SAR yesterday (Wednesday), of which the number of arrivals remained at over 25,000 for the third consecutive day, while the number of departures was about 30,000, according to CPSP.

As the statistics released by the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) showed yesterday, the average daily number of visitor arrivals was 29,297 in the first 4 days of the Golden Week period, a spike of 2172.8 per cent compared with the national day holiday in 2021 and an increase of 49.5 per cent compared with the 19,601 daily visits recorded last month.

The latest official data shows that daily visitor arrivals to Macau hit over 37,000 on October 1st, the second highest on a daily basis since the beginning of this year.
