Exports of Lusophone countries to Macau jump 42.5 pct in H1


Exports of goods from Portuguese-speaking countries to Macau rose 42.5 per cent year-on-year in the first half of the year, according to official figures.

The amount exported by the Lusophone countries to the SAR was set at MOP472 million (US$58  million).

On the other hand, trade of goods from Macau to Portuguese-speaking countries plunged by 75.2 per cent in the first semester of 2022, amounting to MOP870 thousand (US%

Already the amount imported by the block of Portuguese language countries of Macau, in that period, fell 75.2%, being MOP870 thousand (US$107 thousand), also according to the Statistics and Census Service (DSEC)

The overallvalue of Macau’s merchandise export increased by 7.3 per cent year-on-year to MOP7.17 billion. (US$880 million))while imports grew by 0.6 per cent year-on-year to MOP74.02 billion (US$9.1 billion.
