Gaming revenues in Nevada declined 4.7 percent

Lucky baccarat players on the Las Vegas Strip were a major contributor to a 4.7 percent decline in Nevada gaming revenues in May, the Gaming Control Board reported. The total state-wide win in May was US$847.2 million, down from the US$889.2 million reported in May of 2009. The Las Vegas Strip brought in US$450.2 million, down 6.4 percent from the US$480.8 million won in May of 2009. The May decline follows a 5.7 percent state-wide gaming revenue decline in April.
