Gaming watchdog dispels rumours of authorised Mark Six lottery operations

The Gaming Inspection and Co-ordination Bureau (DICJ) has dispelled rumours that Mark Six online operations will be initiated in Macau as a way to deal with the pandemic economic impact.

Mark Six is a lottery game organised by the Hong Kong Jockey Club and highly popular in the neighbouring SAR, as one of its only authorised forms of gambling.

‘Any online casinos that operate on behalf of Macau, or any websites that claim to be exploiting the ‘Macau Mark Six game are false and illegal,’ the department stated.

‘The Macau SAR Government has never authorized the exploitation of online games by any casino or concessionaire in Macau, and the Judiciary Police is investigating the matter’.

The department also called on local citizens to be aware of scams through online games, and immediately report to the police authorities if they suspect they could be the victim of a scam.
