Chef Gordon Ramsay is going to open a restaurant in Macau early next year and it is likely to be named Bread Street Kitchen, after the Scot had the brand registered in the territory. The registration began on July 28 and was announced yesterday in Macaus Official Gazette. Bread Street Kitchen is the name already used by the chef for the restaurant in Hong Kong that opened last month, as well as for another eatery in London, run by Mr. Ramsay, which opened in September 2011. The celebrity chef is currently expanding his business to various parts of Asia. As part of a partnership with Las Vegas Sands, the chef will open a restaurant in Macau in one of Sands Chinas resorts. The partnership also includes the opening of another outlet in Marina Bay Sands in Singapore. After recently opening his restaurant in Hong Kong, Ramsay said that he was eyeing Shanghai and Beijing as part of his expanding portfolio.
