Gov’t asks local residents on holiday in mainland China to return as soon as possible

Local health authorities appealed today to all Macau SAR citizens who are currently on holiday in Mainland China to return as soon as possible to the city.

After returning they should stay in isolation, by their own means if possible, for a period of 14 days.

In the case of being public employees, the government indicated that when returning to service they will have to declare their health status.

The sixth new imported case of novel coronavirus infection in Macau was confirmed today as a 15-year-old male resident of Wuhan city.

China’s National Health Commission said on Monday that in addition to 2,744 confirmed infections nationwide — an increase of 769 — there were nearly 6,000 suspected cases and more than 30,000 people under medical observation.
