A new government takes office in Guinea-Bissau at noon on Monday, following a reshuffle undertaken by the prime minister, Nuno Nabiam, and approved by the country’s president, Umaro Sissoco Embaló.
The new team made up of 20 ministers and 11 secretaries of state, according to the presidential decrees that Lusa has seen.
Led by Nabiam, the government is to be composed of:
Soares Sambu – Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for the Cabinet Office and Parliamentary Affairs, Coordinator for Economic Area
Suzi Barbosa – Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Communities
Orlando Viegas – Minister of Natural Resources and Energy
Botche Candé – Minister of the Interior and Public Order
Marciano Barbeiro – Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development
Iaia Djaló – Minister of Justice and Human Rights
João Fadiá – Minister of Finance
Sandji Faty – Minister of Defence and Combatants for Freedom of the Homeland (veterans)
Fernando Vaz – Minister of Tourism and Handicrafts
Fernando Mendonça – Minister of Social Communication (media)
Augusto Gomes – Minister of Transport and Communications
Fernando Dias – Minister of Territorial Administration and Local Government
Malam Sambu- Minister of Fisheries
Iaia Djaló- Minister of Commerce and Industry
Cirilo Mamasaliu Djaló – Minister of National Education and Higher Education
Tumane Baldé – Minister of Public Administration, Labour, Employment and Social Security
Dionísio Cumba – Minister of Public Health
Conceição Évora – Minister of Women, Family and Social Solidarity

In the decrees announcing changes in the government there is no mention of the Ministry of Economy and Regional Integration, which until now has been occupied by Victor Mandinga.
