Ho Iat Seng receives National Games flag

Chief Executive Ho Iat Seng, received the flag of the National Games of China, as a symbol of Macau’s co-hosting role for the 15th edition of the sporting event, in 2025.

The flag-handover ceremony was held at the closing of the 14th National Games on Monday (27 September), in Xi’an city, Shaanxi Province.

Macau, along with Guangdong and Hong Kong, will jointly organise and host the coming 15th edition of the Games.

Also attending the flag-handover ceremony were Guangdong Governor Ma Xingrui and Hong Kong Chief Executive Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor.

Mr Ho congratulated the Macau team attending the Games for gaining the first medal to be awarded to theSAR in any National Games.

Such a breakthrough achievement marked a new page in the development of sport in the city, the Chief Executive underlined.
