Macau (MNA) – The Judiciary Police (PJ) disclosed on Thursday a new domestic violence case in which a man was detained for punching his wife several times in front of their son, with the son reporting the father to the police in order to stop him.

According to the PJ spokesperson during a press conference, the 40-year old suspect, unemployed, was “irritated” by his wife’s complaints, for what he punched her face and choked her, making the woman lose consciousness for a while on Wednesday afternoon.

In the meantime, the 14-year old son tried to pull the father away from the mother, and reported him to the police when his mother was shouting for help.

The suspect also kept tweaking a mobile phone charging line while threatening his wife.

Although knowing the police were coming, the suspect attacked his wife’s abdomen with his knees, with the Public Security Police Force (PSP) arriving afterwards and arresting him.

The medical check concluded that the victim’s neck, upper body and other body parts were hurt during the assault.

The couple married in 2005, with domestic violence episodes starting to happen soon afterwards, although the victim had never reported to the police or ask for help during these years, the PJ spokesman stated.

Rape case involving student reported

The police also announced a case of rape during today’s press conference involving a 16-year old boy who raped a 17-year-old girl, one of his classmates.

The PJ spokesperson said that the suspect had “confessed his love” to the victim several times but was rejected.

Being rejected once again when he was at the victim’s home last Sunday, he then raped her and asked for forgiveness after the act, explained the police.

The victim’s father was resting in another room and noticed something strange was happening, although the victim did not mention anything to her father at the moment.

Only two days later, the victim decided to come forward and tell her father, reporting the case to the PSP while accompanied by her father.
