The Health Bureau (SS) Director, Lei Chin Ion, announced today that the last confirmed Covid-19 patient has been discharged from medical care.
Discharged patients still have to undergo a 14-day medical observation at the Alto de Coloane medical centre, with eight people currently under observation in this location.
This last patient was a local student studying in the UK who returned to Macau on March 14 and remained under medical care for 66 days since testing positive for the novel coronavirus.
No new Covid-19 cases have been reported for 41 days.
As of today, a total of 45 Covid-19 cases were reported in the city – 43 imported and tow local contagions – with an initial 10 cases reported in the initial stages of the pandemic and 35 imported cases reported after mid-March.
Only one of the 45 cases was considered serious, but no deaths were reported.
