Li Ke to reunite with Beijing Guoan after quarantine

Li Ke is expected to join up with Beijing Guoan soon as his hotel quarantine is being served out.

The midfielder, also known as Nico Yennaris, on Saturday posted on social media a picture showing a bowl of instant noodles with a caption: “Last few hours before I’m finally free.”

In late April, Li returned to China from England, where he underwent an ankle operation last season, and was put under quarantine in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province.

After finishing his mandatory quarantine, he will go to Meizhou, Guangdong, where the Beijing Guoan first-team is currently quarantining.

The Beijing side reached Meizhou, where they will play a part of their new season fixtures, on Friday, though the timetable of the 2022 Chinese Super League (CSL) campaign remains undecided.

The CSL needs to choose three venues to stage this season’s matches. Two of them – Dalian and Meizhou, have been decided.

It is reported that Haikou of Hainan Province is ready to be the third venue, subject to approval by local authorities.
