Gaming concessionaire SJM Holdings announced today (Tuesday) after its annual board meeting, that Executive Committee member and Chief Operating Officer, Louis Ng Chi Sing, has been re-designated as a Non-executive Director starting from June 10.
Ng was appointed as Executive Director of the Company in 2006 and was a member of the Executive Committee of the Board since 2009.
He has also worked for more than 40 years in SJM’s parent company, Sociedade de Turismo e Diversoes de Macau (STDM’s), which is privately held by the Ho family.
The only other changes announced in the group’s board in its first meeting since the death of the founder, Stanley Ho, were that Chairman and Executive Director, Daisy Ho Chiu Fung, has been appointed as an authorised representative of the Company.
Daisy Ho, together with Co-Chairmans Timothy Fok Tsun Ting and Angela Leong On Kei and Vice-Chairman and CEO, Ambrose So Shu Fai have all been re-elected as Executive Directors in the board meeting.
Following the meeting, Ambrose So stated that SJM Holdings turnover so far this year has only translated to 10 per cent in the same period of last year given the outbreak of the novel coronavirus.
Daisy Ho also reiterated that the passing of her father would not have any impact upon SJM’s board.
