Macau | 600 quotas for local vehicles heading to Hong Kong via HZM Bridge

Macau (MNA) – Macau local private vehicles will have access to 600 quotas to use the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge HZM on their way to Hong Kong under the Park & Ride system, Macau SAR Transport Bureau (DSAT) announced on Tuesday.

Five hundred of such quotas will have a validity of one year, with the remaining 100 a validity of six months.

Hong Kong drivers will have access to 300 quota with a validity of 3 years.

Vehicles with quotas can enter the HZM Bridge with unlimited frequency in both regions, DSAT said.

The Macau quotas will be issued by the DSAT with further details to be published later on.

Under the Park & Ride system, drivers from Macau and Hong Kong will need to leave their vehicles in authorised parking places and commute via public transportation. Hong Kong drivers arriving in Macau via this system will have to park their vehicles in the Auto-Silo Leste close to the border controls of the Bridge.

This parking has 3,000 places, with Hong Kong drivers having to register beforehand.
