Macau | Canidrome submits greyhound relocation plan – Municipal Affairs

Macau (MNA) – The Macau (Yat Yuen) Canidrome Co. Ltd. has submitted on Friday its second plan to the Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau (IACM) allegedly containing details about the vacation of the Canidrome facilities, the Bureau told Macau News Agency (MNA).

“We have just received the plan,” the IACM spokesperson told MNA on the phone at 5:30pm today. “Now we need time to read and analyse it.”

Only then will the IACM have conditions to determine if the plan is acceptable and doable or not, added the Bureau.

Last week, the head of IACM, José Tavares da Silva, have granted the company a week extension – due today, June 8 – to present a plan for the relocation of the some 600 greyhound dogs belonging to the Canidrome.

Tavares da Silva had then claimed that the one year extension requested by the company chaired by Angela Leong On Kei, a legislator, to work out its relocation strategy was “unacceptable.”

The company has to definitely vacate the premises until July 21, 2018.
