Macau (MNA) – A virtual reality (VR) experience by CTM and Samsung was presented today at Studio City resort in Cotai.
“This is the first time we are having a three-party business co-operation between a headset vendor and also one of the local gaming operators,” Ebel Cham, Vice President of Commercial of CTM, told Macau News Agency (MNA).
The “CTM x Samsung Galaxy Studio” allows visitors to Studio City to wear a headset and experience a 4D show.
Ms. Cham claimed that although the gear could be mostly defined as entertainment for end-user, it can also help business units in other tasks.
“If they want to introduce some new product, a new environment, or new services by using the VR technology, they can introduce it to the customer. That’s why this is not only for product selling […]. We just want to introduce the latest technology and see how the latest technology can assist a business unit,” Ms. Cham told to MNA.
Ms. Cham added that VR technology is already in use in the education and medical fields.
The CTM x Samsung Galaxy Studio will be operating from today until December 27 at Times Square in Studio City.
The opening ceremony was hosted by Vandy Poon, CEO of CTM, Jungho Kim, Managing Director of Samsung (HK), David Sisk, Property President of Studio City, Ebel Cham, and YiYin Zhao, Head of IT & Mobile Communications Business Unit of Samsung (HK).
