Macau | France Chamber of Commerce celebrates landmark charity dinner

Macau (MNA) – The 10th Anniversary Charity Gala Dinner organized by the France Macau Chamber of Commerce (FMCC) took place on Friday, gathering over 300 guests including Macau SAR Secretary of Social Affairs Bureau, Alexis Tam, the Consul General of France in Hong Kong and Macau, Eric Berti, and French Senator Christophe Frassa, among other personalities.

In his opening speech, Rutger Verschuren, FMCC Chairman, reviewed the progress of the chamber over the last year, and vowed to keep delivering networking and business session activities during 2018.

He also pointed out the will to focus on fostering EU relations with Macau, as the bloc will have a central part in the Global Tourism Economy Forum to be celebrated in October this year, highlighting that “as a city, Macau is moving towards becoming a world centre of tourism and leisure.”

The charity event, themed ‘Extravagance au Moulin Rouge,’ collected close to MOP80,000 that will be donated to Macao Fok Sin, a local association that allows young residents to participate in community work.
