Macau | Global meeting on cable technology hosted by CTM concludes

Macau (MNA) – CTM announced the conclusion of the 34 SEA-ME-WE 3 Management Committee Meeting, celebrated at Sofitel from November 28 to December 1.

Delegates attending the meeting discussed operation, investment, and capacity expansion for SMW3 submarine cable system.

The SMW3 submarine cable is the most important route to connect Macau with the worldwide, CTM said.

CTM highlighted that ‘Macau has become one of the key hubs in Asia network and connected to the rest of the world,’ as it is one of the landing points of the cable system.

The event was organized by SEA-ME-WE3 Management Committee and hosted by CTM, and included 40 delegates from over 10 countries.

‘SEA-ME-WE3 submarine cable system is the longest system in the world with a total length of 39,000 km, including 39 landing points in 33 countries and 4 continents’, CTM informs in a press release.
