Macau | Gov’t requested Canidrome to submit proposal relocating greyhounds before July 10

Macau (MNA) – Macau (Yat Yuen) Canidrome Company Limited is requested by the Civic and Municipal Bureau (IACM) to submit a proposal of replacement for unadopted greyhounds before July 10.

IACM stated in a release on Monday it has sent a written request to Canidrome, while reiterating that the Macau SAR Government informed the company to vacant the area in 2016, hence perceiving that the company had sufficient time to prepare the replacement of the remaining greyhounds.

The Canidrome, owned by legislator Angela Leong On Kei, will have to vacant the area by July 21.

The Bureau also stressed that it does not support any company or individual to abandon their dogs or other pets, emphasising that the Bureau will file prosecution to those who break the law.
