Macau (MNA) – The Macau SAR Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) launched a service that will allow easier administrative procedures for filmmakers willing to shoot in the city.
The ‘Coordination Service for Filming Permit Application,’ as the service is officially named, is headed by the IC, which will receive the applications and channel them to the proper public services involved.
The service was on trial period from May 31 to December 31 last year, having submitted 73 petitions, out of a total of 91 applications, IC said in a press release.
The departments that participated in the trial period include the Macao Government Tourism Office, the Sports Bureau, the Customs Service, the Fire Services Bureau, the Public Security Police Force, the Judiciary Police, the Transport Bureau, the Civil Aviation Authority, the Marine and Water Bureau and IC.
The service is a ‘one-stop collection service to save the applicants’ time in visiting many public services and to allow them to trace their application status,’ the note says.
The IC will also provide services such as enquiries and consultation, application guidelines, document collection and referral, as well as online checking of application status.
