Macau | Health Bureau recalls Chinese medicine due to excessive bacterial content

Macau (MNA) – The Health Bureau (SS) has requested Taiwan medicine manufacturer Nan Me Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd to withdraw one of its Chinese medicine (pictured, unnamed in English) due to detected excessive general bacteria, as well as mould and yeast content.

The Bureau warns residents to stop taking the medicine.

Apart from regular sampling medicines that are available in the city’s market, the health authority has also established a system through which it receives reports from the medical industry, including traditional Chinese medicine specialists, for any alleged problematic medication.

Residents can also make enquiries by calling the hotline 6683 3329 or the Medicine Division of the SS at 85983427 during working hours.
