Macau (MNA) – The Macau SAR Government-appointed research group Talents Development Committee (CDT) has completed and is now implementing its 5-year plan for cultivating talent in the city.
The plan focuses upon developing talent for fields that the Committee claims suffer a severe shortage of human resources in diversified industries, namely, insurance and finance, bilingual specialists of Portuguese and Chinese, and the marine economy.
The plan also includes attracting Macau-born and MSAR residents highly skilled, trained, and experienced, who are currently residing overseas to return to the city by improving policies regarding the local career-development and business environment.
Further research on the human resources distribution of other industries and development and improvement of talent database are also included on the agenda.
According to the press release posted by CDT on Thursday, the plan has 19 developmental strategies and 45 measures, 21 of which are responsible by and are participated in by the CDT.
The remaining measures will be overseen by other related institutions and departments.
