APC Meeting is held in Taipei

Macau | Local composers association attended international meeting in Taipei

Macau (MNA) – A delegation of the Macau Association of Composers (MACA) attended the Asia-Pacific Committee (APC) Meeting in Taipei (MÜST) this week. The biannual meeting was hosted by the International Confederation of Authors and Composers Societies (CISAC) during November 1 to 2.

The main focus of the meeting was to deliberate “the development of Broadcast, Cinema and Karaoke regarding the music licensing affairs, and update the operation of the collective management organizations,” MACA announced in a press release.

The local delegation of MACA was headed by the association’s CEO Mr. Ung Kuoc Iang. The delegation’s trip was supported by Air Macau.

The meeting gathered over 30 representatives from authors’ societies across the Asia-Pacific region.

Also, three members of the association, Ondina Chan, Olivia Lei and Bobby Lio, attended the First International Songwriting Camp in Taipei from October 25 to November 2. The event included lectures, sharing sessions and workshops to learn about music copyright and music creation.
