Macau (MNA) -The Macao Convention and Exhibition Association (MCEA) is the top beneficiary of the funding from the Macau Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM), receiving some MOP3.6 million (US$448,699) for the first half of the year, according to a dispatch in the Official Gazette.
The Association received MOP580,000 to hold conventions in 2018 for the first quarter, while in the second quarter, some MOP3.05 million was granted by IPIM to organise ‘Dynamic Macao Business and Trade Fair’ to promote the city in Fujian.
The latter event took place in Fuzhou, during which a Forum Macao delegation opned a Portuguese-speaking countries pavilion in the Fuzhou Strait International Conference & Exhibition Centre.
The Association has 96 corporate members and has held the ‘Dynamic Macao Business and Trade Fair’ in 25 cities.
