Macau | Potential change upon city’s tourism structure as Greater Bay Area continues development – Tourism Office head

Macau (MNA) – The Director of Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO), Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes, said on the sidelines of an event on Saturday that potential changes upon the city’s overall tourism structure would result from the continuous development of the Greater Bay Area.

In light of the official launch of Guangzhou–Shenzhen–Hong Kong Express Rail Link today, the MGTO head opined, though, that it might not have a direct impact on the number of tourists visiting Macau.

“But we will continue to observe the conditions,” remarked Ms. Fernandes.

The MGTO Director added that Macau would indirectly benefit from potential changes in its tourism structure.
