Macau | Satisfaction of visitors decreased in 2017

Macau (MNA) – Visitors’ satisfaction regarding most of the local services and facilities declined during 2017, information released by the Macau SAR Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) showed on Friday.

Despite a widespread high level a satisfaction among visitors, the index decreased 4.2 percentage points year-on-year to 85.9 per cent in the services and facilities satisfaction segment, with ‘the shares of those who expressed satisfaction with the services of travel agencies (70.7 per cent) and gaming facilities (73.9 per cent) recorded double-digit decreases of 14.6 percentage points and 10.3 percentage points respectively,’ DSEC said.

On the other hand, those visitors indicating tourist attractions were adequate increased 8.2 percentage points to 53 per cent in 2017. However, the figure decreased 3.9 percentage points in quarterly terms.

Visitors’ satisfaction with the services of retail shops, environmental hygiene and services and facilities of hotels during the fourth quarter of 2017 also increased.
