Macau (MNA) – The Macau SAR Government has collected some MOP35.53 billion (US$4.39 billion) in gaming tax during the first four months of 2018, representing an increase of 18.8 per cent when compared to the same period last year.
According to the latest central account data released by the Financial Services Bureau (DSF), the revenue of the administration during the period under review amounted to some MOP42.53 billion, a yearly increase of 17.8 per cent, with the execution rate reaching some 40.4 per cent.
Public expenses reached MOP20.30 between January and April, an increase of 20.7 from the same period last year.
In particular, expenses for the Public Investment Plan (PIDDA) amounted to 5.34 billion, posting a significant increase of 251.2 per cent from the same period a year before.
During the first four months of the year, the public surplus had reached MOP22.22 billion, some 15.2 per cent higher than the January-April period in 2017.
