Lisboeta was granted a four-star hotel license by the Macau Government Tourism Office (MGTO), in August, with several of its food & beverage outlets also receiving the necessary licensing, however, the property has so far only been used as a quarantine location.
The property will also include elements inspired by local iconic buildings such as Hotel Estoril, the floating casino “Macau Palace” and the New Central Hotel.
Macau Theme Park and Resorts Limited is headed by Arnaldo Ho Yau Heng, the son of the late gaming tycoon Stanley Ho and legislator and SJM Holdings managing director, Angela Leong On Kei.
The upcoming opening of new facilities by gaming and leisure companies, including SJM’s Grand Lisboa Palace and Galaxy’s Phase 3 has created some new employment openings for locals in a job market currently still reeling from the Covid-19 pandemic.
