Melco Resorts & Entertainment will hold a multimedia exhibition focused on the sea and its conservation entitled ‘海洋 LA MER’ at its Dancing Water Theater at City of Dreams as part of the Art Macao: Macao International Art Biennale 2021.
The exhibition – which will run between July 16 and October 31 with free admission- will feature an Artificial Intelligence-powered audiovisual experience W/AV/E by Thomas Roussel; deep-ocean-set installation SEPHIROTHIC FLOWER by Makoto Azuma; and video work LA MER by Ange Leccia.
The creator of the previous House of Dancing Water Show, Franco Dragone, also contributed with OCEANS, a spectacle promoting the importance of protecting the oceans to the audience.
The exhibition also features an ocean-themed “LA MER” Film Festival; a series of Flow Body Mindfulness classes inspired by the sea; the “SEA x ART” Forum with freediver Wang Aolin, the first person from China to descend to a subaquatic depth of 100m, and underwater photographer Uncle J; and the House of Dancing Water Underwater Discoveries, showing the perspective of the show’s divers.
The 10-year running House of Dancing Water Show was halted in 2020 after the Covid-19 pandemic outbreak.
