A mobile NAT sampling vehicle, equipped with four sampling desks, has been put into use for the first time during the current citywide testing round at various residential areas in Coloane as a way to “provide convenience for citizens to undergo sampling and minimize cross-district movements” the Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Centre stated.
Yesterday (Monday) the vehicle has been stationed in front of the Youth Hostel in Hác-Sá, in front of Escola Dom Luís Versíglia in Ká-Hó and Escola Luso-Chinesa de Coloane.
\Today the vehicle will again be parked in front of the Youth Hostel in Hác-Sá between 9:00am and 1:00pm and in front of Escola Luso-Chinesa de Coloane from 2:00pm to 6:00pm.
Before going to the mobile sampling vehicle to get tested, they must first perform a rapid antigen test (RAT) by themselves at home.
Upon boarding the mobile NAT bus, present a health code containing a RAT negative result or a photo showing a RAT negative result; otherwise, such boarding would be denied.
The Macau SAR recorded 57 additional positive Covid-19 cases on June 27 taking the total number of cases to 414.
The ongoing citywide NAT programme will end at 6:00pm and has so far collected 489,242 samples, with 210,800 coming back negative, while 13 mixed samples tested positive.
