New Head of Taiwan’s Bureau of Macao Affairs

The Taiwanese Government has appointed Chen Sheue-Hwai as the new head of the Bureau of Macao Affairs for the Mainland Affairs Council and Taipei Economic and Cultural Office, according to Taiwan news outlet CNA.
Chen will take up the position on July 7, while the current Director General of the Bureau, Lu Chang-Shui, will act as counsellor as well as Director of the Secretary’s office.
Currently, Chen heads the Budget, Accounting and Statistics department of the government office. Lu, meanwhile, has been acting as Director General since February 2013, and will return to Taiwan when his term expires.
