New residential mortgage loans fall 20 pct between May-Apr

The Monetary Authority of Macao (AMCM) announced that new residential mortgage loans fell 20.4 per cent in April to MOP2.36 billion (US$295.2 million) from the previous month, of which loans for uncompleted housing units accounted for MOP290 million, a month-on-month decrease of 6.4 per cent.

The monthly average of new residential mortgages from February to April was MOP2.5 billion, down 6 per cent from the previous period (January to March). 

New commercial property loans in April increased by 1.7 times month-on-month to MOP5.35 billion.
