New group aims at raising awareness on food and environmental health

The Society of Food & Environmental Health (SFEH) has been founded with the aim of promoting food safety and environmental awareness to the public, as well as improving the international standing of the sector in Macau.

During the association’s inauguration ceremony held on Thursday, SFEH chairman Ruby O said they hope to contribute to the improvement of the health and quality of life as well as to the environmental development of the city in line with the overall development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area.

After the ceremony at Macau Science Centre, SFEH also held the “Sustainable Development and Low-Carbon Industrial Transformation Seminar” and specially invited academician Yang Zuhui, a professional technical adviser of the society, who shared the achievements and applications of contemporary cutting-edge biotechnology, with the aim of contributing to Macau’s economic development and transformation.
