The co-chairman of Macau casino operator MGM China Holdings Ltd, Pansy Ho, has said Chinese visitors to the city are becoming more discerning. “We’re already beginning to see that the customers walking through our doors are more demanding. They now know how to differentiate,” Ms Ho said on Bloomberg TV. “They will now ask you how many restaurants there are in your facility, and if there are Western restaurants they want to know whether the food is French or Italian,” she said. “They have become more selective. They actually would say: ‘I have choices. I have to determine where to go, where to spend my money and how best to spend my time.’ It’s all evolving.”
