Police authorities find pistol and ammunition in abandoned motorcycle

Police authorities revealed today (Tuesday) that they have found a handgun, ammunition magazines and bullets in an abandoned motorcycle.

The Judiciary Police (PJ) indicated to Macau News Agency that it was notified by the Public Security Police Force (CPSP) on January 13 to collect evidence on a pistol, two magazines and 52 bullets that were found left in an abandoned motorcycle found earlier on the street earlier and taken to the Transport Bureau (DSAT) impound lot for scrap.

The gun and ammunition were found in the motorcycle helmet box as DSAT department staff prepared the destruction of abandoned motorcycles.

‘PJ is carrying out an in-depth and thorough investigation to see whether it has any link to other criminal cases. Therefore we have to keep the information regarding the investigation confidential. Further details will be disclosed when the investigation is concluded,’ the department added.
